I was visiting Turkey for a weekend and needed offline scan and translate. This was one of the few Ive found but unfortunately it is completely unusable in offline mode. Only 2k words and not that good OCR, works much better online (but I dont have internet in roaming) but still lacks much. Other languages might be better (60k words for French) so for this price is worth a try. App could use a button for whole scan offline translate (even word by word to just get the idea).
Awful. Couldnt translate anything or even recognize the text that needed to be translated.
Dont wast your $ Ive been using it all day trying to get it to work just 1 time ... Havent worked yet
Using this app for Japanese Translation. Cant even recognize a simple kanji, couldnt even translate a simple sentence. When on offline, it cant translate the whole sentence or phrase. You will have a hard time touching on each word to get the meaning, but still it cant detect a whole word for translation. ITS REALLY A WASTE OF MONEY. Make sure that your app can really translate offline if it really can. You still need to be online to use translation. LIARS!!!! I WONDER WHY APPLE ALLOW BUSINESS MODEL LIARS!!!!
Its ok and it does the job for $1.99. Just some bugs on reading text sometimes.
